How much does the book cost?
There is no cost for first year students.

Why have a required reading ?
Reading, interpreting and applying information will be an important part of your learning over the next year.  This book is your introduction to this process.  It will also prepare you to take part in a variety of activities on campus and in Danbury where you’ll explore with other students and people from the community the themes of The Namesake and how we learn through exploring our differences.  Your “One Book, One Community” assignment gives you  something in common to discuss with every first year student.
